Operations Assistants – Local to Anniston, AL or Birmingham, AL
The responsibilities of this job include dispatching of local linemen and line crew units for outage calls as well as routing the units for daily work orders, such as Connects and Disconnects. It requires rotating shifts, working weekends, holidays and subject to callout during off time to assist with shift coverage and storm trouble. The job requires talking on the radio, answering the phone to assist our Customer Service Center with questions they may have to assist the customer in their needs. Schedule Drop service orders for customers needing repairs, work closely with the Operator in the office to ensure trouble is dispatched in a timely manner to our field resources. This job requires a great deal of communication and working closely with a team to make sure our job is done efficiently.
- 40 hours each week minimum. When we are fully staffed excess hours are not normal, unless weather dictates that. We just need to ensure up front the candidates are aware that availability is crucial and when they are called, they are needed. Outside of business hours as well. These positions work a rotating shift, combined of 8, 10 and 12 hour shifts, covering the hours from 6am – 10pm.

- We do pay expenses and mileage for anything outside of their normal commute mileage for training or working in another location.
