Initial Test Program Operational Control Room Support – SNC Vogtle

Describe the work environment for this assignment: Work will occur in the office, the field, on the construction site and will be exposed to the weather when in the field. Shift work including nights and weekends, is required for this position

Desired Qualifications: Nuclear power plant (PWR preferred) operational experience as a Reactor Operator. Experience in executing procedures from Main Control Room and execution of clearance activities. Knowledgeable on the performance of surveillance activities. Individuals able to be qualified as test engineers per NQA-1-1994 is desired.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Individuals are desired with familiarity in control room operations pertaining to primary and secondary mechanical, electrical, I&C, and HVAC systems and components. Operational experience must include directing, performing, and reviewing valve lineups, fill and vent systems, conducting pre-job briefings, clearance/LOTO preparation and execution, systems operations, and oversight of field operational activities. Able to use Human performance tools. Individuals are desired to have experience using Microsoft Office products (particularly Word, Excel, & PowerPoint).

Physical Requirements: Some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged walking, crawling, will be required. Shift and weekend work will be required.

Position requires unescorted access to the protected area of a nuclear plant.

Estimated Start Date: Week of May 16th, 2022 (or sooner if possible)

Estimated Duration of Work Assignment: 6 months to 1 year (possible extension)

Pay Rate: Not Defined / need Candidate’s requested rate

Per Diem: $93.94 / day ($657.60 per week)

Mob / Demob: $500.00 each ($1,000 total)
