LAN Administrator – Richmond, VA 23219

Max Pay Rate: $26.00 ST, $39.00 OT
Hours / Work Location: LOCAL Hybrid Schedule (60% onsite, 40% remote)
Work Schedule: 8am – 5 pm – Overtime is available (not required) as a function of the job

Job Summary:

  • Understands and applies the fundamental concepts, principles, practices, and procedures to carry out all aspects of the job
  • Proficiently performs assignments having the knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience needed to carry out all aspects of the job
  • Exercises independent judgment and decision-making in planning, organizing and conducting work assignments
  • May receive instructions and guidance on unusual or complex problems and knows when to get others involved
  • Effectively utilizes the proper resources to develop solutions and devise new approaches to problems encountered in work assignments
  • Identifies and eliminates unnecessary work and non-value-added activities
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills to resolve issues with applications not supported by IT application teams
  • Proficiency in Windows 10/Office365 Products/Outlook/Teams
  • Ability to interface with wide variety of clients
  • Handle large volumes of imaging requests
  • Proficiency in Service Now application
  • Proficiency with imaging via SCCM. Must be able to troubleshoot and resolve any imaging issues for standard PC’s/laptops, toughbooks, tablets, etc.
  • High volume of IT requests for hardware and software
  • Experience supporting HP and OCE printers/plotters
  • Potential for heavy lifting

  1. Prior IT support experience
  2. Excellent troubleshooting skills
  3. Ability to handle large volume of requests/multi-task

Top “nice to have” skill sets:

  1. Experience in data communications is desired

  1. Excellent communicator and team player, prior experience supporting Microsoft products and advance software solutions
