Pay Rate: $40-$60/hr ST
Hours: 40-60+ hrs/wk
Per Diem: Reimbursed in accordance with LANL travel Policy (up to $600/week), plus bluestone adds $6 extra per hour ($9/OT hour) to help with expenses (Only if working FT at LANL).
Mob/Demob: Reimbursed in accordance with LANL travel Policy
Trip Home: 1 per month
Project Completion Bonus

The Analyst 1 position will provide support functions crucial to maintaining security and safety compliance when performing decontamination and decommissioning (D&D) and infrastructure upgrades within PF-4.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of work experience and education/training

Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in program or project support
Preference: Experience with safety disciplines such as nuclear criticality safety, radiation protection, health and safety, fire protection or safeguards and security.

Typical Duties: Gathers and prepares data necessary to develop and maintain schedules, estimates, work packages, monthly reports, and other controls documents and tools Project support, database development, graphics and web page design, document development, IT support, outreach administration, records package management, procedures development, analytical support, technology research, project management support, supervisory experience, etc. Extracts and calculates performance measurement indices, interviews technical staff as needed to obtain data. Occasionally provides interpretation and analysis of data sets. Fully proficient with controls tools, such as P6, Solid Works, AutoCAD, CREO, Inventor, MS Office Suite, and other packages.

The successful candidate could receive assignments in one or more of the areas below.
• Nuclear Criticality Safety Interface Team
• Coordination Support Interface Team
• Modeling and NDA Management Interface Team
• Fissionable Material Handler Team
• Nuclear Process Support Interface Team

Directive 206.2 – Employment with Triad requires a favorable decision by NNSAindicating the employee is suitable under NNSA Supplemental Directive 206.2. Please note that this requirement applies only to citizens of the United States. Foreign nationals are subject to a similar requirement under DOE Order 142.3A.

Clearance: Q (Position will be cleared to this level). Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements* for access to classified matter. This position requires a Q clearance which requires US Citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances. Dependent upon position, additional authorization to access nuclear weapons information may be required that may or may not be available to dual citizens depending upon the circumstances.

*Eligibility requirements: To obtain a clearance, an individual must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in very limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.
