Document Control Specialist – Richmond, VA Hybrid

Work Location: Richmond VA office

Job Summary:

  • Will support Project management and engineering to ensure documents are aligned, prepared in accordance with procedures, and are revised properly.
  • Will support process procedures, equipment procedures, etc.).
  • Client supports Oil & Gas, Wastewater, HFAC related industries

Responsibilities:

  • This role will be working closely with members of the Engineering Group, Project group and the Engineering Group Manager
  • They will have responsibility for the creation and maintenance of all Product Structure BOMs and associated documentation within the Organization’s ERP and documentation storage & presentation systems
  • The Documentation Control Specialist is also expected to participate in the creation, maintenance, training, and adherence of all Documentation Control related practices, work procedures and policies
  • Entering appropriate Basic Data attributes as required
  • Manage the Engineering Change Request (ECR) process and workflows, updating SAP and documentation presentation systems as appropriate
  • Define, Create, Follow and Enforce Documentation Control policies and practices
  • Develop (participate & lead) process improvements to enhance Documentation Control efficiency
  • Assist in designing intranet/automation tools supporting Documentation Control procedures
  • Educate Engineering Group in Documentation Control procedures, policies and practices
  • Assist in Documentation Control ISO audits and implement audit recommendations
  • Assist Engineering Leadership with Drafting personnel staffing and employee evaluations/decisions

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree preferred but not required.

Required Experience / Expertise:

  • 5 + years of Documentation Control work experience, preferably using an SAP based ERP System
  • Must demonstrate an advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office: Excel, Access, Word
  • Attention to detail mentality and appreciation of project deadlines is essential
  • Well Organized, ability to multiplex across a variety of project assignments
