Location: REMOTE w/ extremely occasional trips to East Coast (US) Commercial Nuclear Plants
Project: Component replacement for power uprate – Full Scale Loss of Coolant Analysis
Pay Rate: Not Defined / need Candidate’s requested rate (non-exempt)
Duration: 24 months to start (could last 4-6 years)
Hours: 4×10’s (to start)
Per Diem: N/A – Work will be hybrid. All Trips to the site covered (expenses)

Job Summary:
Provide safety analysis for uprate work. Prior FSLOCA analysis required.
LOCA analysis is performed to demonstrate conformance with the 10CFR50.46 acceptance criteria that cites coolable geometry and long term cooling must be maintained after a LOCA to enable adequate removal of decay heat.
This position will review:
- Post-LOCA subcriticality analysis – Maintenance of core subcriticality after transfer to sump recirculation
- Boric acid precipitation control analysis – Switchover to hot-leg or simultaneous hot-leg and cold-leg recirculation prior to precipitation of boric acid in the core
- Decay heat removal analysis – Sufficient emergency core cooling system (ECCS) performance
Required Education and Certifications / Licenses:
PE preferred. BS Engineering required
