Job Summary: The Senior Estimator is responsible for managing one or more estimates for large scale Nuclear projects including: Maintenance and Construction and Component Replacement
Required Education and Certifications / Licenses:
N/A, 15+ years commercial nuke experience
Responsibilities include:
- Develop, assess, and maintain quality-controlled project estimates for review by the Project Manager(s), Director(s), and Executive(s), as well as oversee and mentor junior level estimators
- Completion of conceptual estimates utilizing minimal available information
- Preparation of Basis of Estimates
- Takeoffs
- Contact with Subcontractors for real time pricing
- Lead estimating activities for Schematic and Design Development Estimates
- Preparation of Bid Packages including Scope Definition
- Procurement of Subcontracts and Materials
- Lead Descope Discussions with Qualified Bidders
